Nikolay Hotze is the Managing Director of Caneel Bay, A Rosewood Resort on St. John, USVI. Trained in Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States - including at Acqualina, A Rosewood Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida - Hotze is responsible for leading and developing the management team at Caneel Bay, as well as representing the legendary Caribbean retreat within the Rosewood portfolio.
Hotze is no stranger to Rosewood's reputation for hospitality excellence, having joined Caneel Bay as Resort Manager in December 2006 and spent the two-and-a-half years prior to his arrival as Hotel Manager of Acqualina. He was selected by the Acqualina's owners during the property's planning and construction phase to assemble a top-flight resort management team, oversee 270 employees and arrange service contracts with third-party vendors.
Prior to joining the Rosewood family, Hotze spent five years at the El San Juan Hotel and Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Following his stint in Puerto Rico, Hotze held food and beverage management positions at several Miami-based properties, including Loews Hotel, Tides Hotel, Marlin Hotel and the Doral Golf Resort & Spa. He began his hospitality career in London with the Savoy Hotel Group.
A native of Germany, Hotze earned a degree in Hotel Administration from German Abitur in Kiel, Germany in 1994. He is fluent in German, Spanish and English and currently resides at Caneel Bay with his wife and children. |
